Behind Maison Ophelia

About Ophelia

Growing up between the United States and Europe within a multicultural home, movement was always my first language.

Competing in Track & Field during high school, I already had a feeling for the body and what it meant to be consistent with training to see significant improvements–and because of a curvature in my back, I dove into the world of pilates at age 13 and never left.

But even with this foundation: I reached a point where I felt my body needed something different for when my stress levels rose–and when I noticed that  what worked for me before was not working anymore.

It’s been a journey of years to figure it out, but one that would become the soul of Maison Ophelia.

Bringing together Science, beauty and Anatomy

Being fascinated by the science behind our bodies, I spent years as a professional nurse and certified aesthetician (CIDESCO), gaining first-hand experience of human anatomy and healing as I worked in a plastic surgery operating room for 6 years, as well as doing results-focused facials for clients.

It was by integrating this medical background, and a deep study of the nervous system, into my pilates that I felt my body finally love how it was moving–and the results that came with it.

As I pursued certification as a STOTT-Merrithew Pilates Instructor (mat and reformer), this method became my signature approach with clients in studio classes. With Maison Ophelia, it’s become the heart of this dedicated space for beauty, performance, and long-term wellness.
